Hello! I’m Angelo, father of two, husband of hottie. I love my family, nature, nice people, travel and photography. I’ve been in the visual arts industry for almost 17 years now, but not always as a photographer. I was an art director for most of my career for many companies, a few of which were global and worth multiple millions, if not billions. Impressive eh? I know, calm down. I’m a lucky guy. I do believe we make our own luck though, through taking chances and saying yes to opportunities when they present themselves. I had some rough patches here and there but overall, a really great time of doing what I love and loving what I do.
I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for photography but never really got serious about it. My passion was in design and I was happy with that. These past few years, to my surprise, my passion took a turn. I bought a pretty decent camera and I fell in love. I fell in love with capturing moments of beauty and authenticity. I was able to capture it with a point and shoot once in awhile which would stir my curiosity and evoke the idea of being an actual photographer, but it wasn’t until I got a full blown professional grade camera that I realized, “hey, I frickin’ love this!”
I may have started professionally as a photographer only a couple years ago, but the skills, creativeness, and commercial quality standards that I’ve acquired, have carried themselves over seamlessly into my photography. Photography has been a breath of fresh air to me creatively and literally. I get to spend time away from the computer and be in nature (my other love) and collaborate and create with other people. It became the prefect mix of everything I love and enjoy in life.
I’m one of the lucky handful that get to do what they love, and that love translates into great pictures and a fun time. I’m always honored and humbled when someone loves my work enough they want to hire me to capture moments in their life, that they will then look back on, cherish and reminisce.
Holding a camera in my hand gives me a little pep in my step. It’s something that I’m thankful for because it helps me to see the beauty that is around us all the time, that is happening all the time.
